Tips for Reporting a Claim
- Verify that everyone is safe and OK. Dial 911 if in doubt.
- Do not discuss the incident with other parties. Limit your discussion of the incident to the police and your insurance advisor.
- Do not admit fault. Your insurance advisor will help sort this out.
- Write down contact information of all parties involved, including any witnesses. Include names, phone numbers, and insurance information. In additional to contact information, write details about the incident.
- Take pictures to preserve the scene for later review.
