Vienneau Insurance Acquires Coast Insurance

Local insurance broker, Vienneau Insurance, has expanded their presence in southeastern New Brunswick with the purchase of Moncton-based Coast Insurance.  Like Vienneau, Coast has been a longstanding family-owned insurance brokerage having served Moncton and the surrounding area since 1965.  Julie and Aaron Hilt purchased the brokerage from Julie’s step-father, Frank Chandler, back in 2016.

Vienneau’s president, Marc Leger, says the two businesses are well known to each other: “The fit was right, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming a great local business into the fold.  Julie, Aaron and I have come up in the insurance industry around the same time, just like my father and Julie’s step dad came up together before us.”

“For us, they checked off all the boxes,” states Julie Hilt. “They’re owned locally and are known for taking care of their clients and employees.” Aaron Hilt says the timing was right for the move: “It was becoming an increasingly competitive market, and Vienneau brings some additional size and resources that will benefit our clients and staff going forward.”

Julie Hilt will remain with the brokerage in a managerial role to assist with the transition.
