Shediac, NB – April 1, 2025 – Vienneau Insurance is pleased to announce its continued growth in southeastern New Brunswick with the acquisition of Sackville-based RB Estabrooks Insurance, effective March 31, 2025.

“We’ve always loved Sackville, and I’ve said for years that if the opportunity ever came up to do business there, we’d jump on it,” said Marc Leger, President of Vienneau Insurance. “It’s a vibrant small town with a strong sense of community, and of course, it’s known across the country as the home of Mount Allison University.”

RB Estabrooks Insurance has deep roots in the Sackville community. Founded in 1962 by Borden Estabrooks with the support of his wife Joyce, the brokerage has remained a family-run business for over six decades. Peter Estabrooks, who has owned the firm since 1989, will be retiring, while his brother and long-time office manager, Kirk Estabrooks, will remain on for a transitional period to help ensure a smooth handover.

As I approached retirement, it was crucial for us to find a buyer who would continue that tradition of personalized service and community values,” said Peter Estabrooks. “Vienneau Insurance, with its head office in a similar small-town setting just 40 minutes away, felt like a natural fit for a seamless transition in ownership.”

Headquartered in Shediac, New Brunswick, Vienneau Insurance has been serving local communities since 1948. Now employing 70 staff across six locations, Vienneau remains one of the few 100% locally owned insurance brokerages in the province. They are a member of the Canadian Broker Network.

This acquisition follows Vienneau Insurance’s purchase of Moncton-based Coast Insurance in February 2021, reinforcing its commitment to thoughtful expansion and locally grounded service.
